Each month, your PNWJETAA officers meet to plan all the events that make our organization a success! You don’t have to be an elected officer to join. Stop by, share your ideas and listen in to what is going on.
NOTE- PNWJETAA Monthly Meetings have changed their time and location.

- Monday, October 7th at 6:30pm
- Monday, November 4th at 6:30pm
- December (no meeting)
We will meet in the Washington State Convention and Trade Center Atrium, on the second floor, behind the escalators to the third floor. Here is a layout of the 2nd and 3rd floors of the convention center. The area is between rooms 201 and 214, near the ramp, and the exit to Union Square. There are two vending machines located in a railed-off area.

PNWJETAA Executive Advisory Group
In addition, our Executive Advisory Group comprised of former PNWJETAA Officers meets every quarter to discuss long-term issues and goals for our organization. If you are a former officer for PNWJETAA, we highly encourage you to get involved in this new aspect of our association. Our fall and winter meetings will tentatively be held at Wann Izakaya, 2020 2nd Avenue in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood:

2009 ACRS Walk for Rice, Saturday, June 20th, 8am-12:30pm, Seward Park in Seattle, PNWJETAA participates annually in this FREE 2.5-mile run and walk to benefit the Asian Counseling and Referral Service Food Bank. 2009 Seattle Mariners Salute to Japanese Baseball (a.k.a. Japan Night), (date and time TBD), PNWJETAA will be organizing a group to attend this special night at a Mariners game! The first 20,000 fans usually get limited edition Mariners merchandise in Japanese! Details to follow.
2009 US JETAA National Conference, (dates, location and time TBD), PNWJETAA will be sending two representatives to attend the JETAA USA National Conference. At the conference, our two officers will connect with other officers from other chapters across the United States in terms of activities, national governance, budgeting, chapter communication, membership… among a bunch of other topics!
SEPTEMBER

2009 Aki Matsuri, September 12-13, Bellevue Community College, Bellevue. PNWJETAA will have a booth to answer questions about the JET Program and JETAA activities. This is great way to participate in a fun and exciting event. ENMA.org and PNWJETAA are looking for volunteers! If you’d like to volunteer, please contact us through the Contact Us page of this site! If you would like to help out with the Aki Matsuri, please contact the Eastside Nihon Matsuri Association. Be sure to tell them that you are a JETAA member!!
PNWJETAA Summer Picnic, (date and location TBD), Come join PNWJETAA as we celebrate summer with this family-oriented barbeque and potluck. This will be a great way for us to celebrate our success with the US National Conference. Lots of activities will be planned. Bring your empty stomachs!
